By October 2021, the Covid restrictions have not lifted and it was not possible to have the

SMCTA annual dinner yet again. Thus, we decided to create a video series to commemorate our 50th Anniversary.

We then thought of launching the video series and tapping into Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI) newly set up Live Streaming facility which was launched in February 2021. This will be our 1st Live Streaming Dialogue to reach out to our members as part of the 50th Anniversary celebration and it would be a milestone in our history too.

The Live Streaming Dialogue was joined by 30 over members. The Exco shared some

examples of what we have done up to now and some of the upcoming activities that we intend to engage on.

In addition, through feedback in the Dialogue session the Exco understood that there were challenges when importing electric bikes and batteries, unnecessary delays and significant costs were incurred. The Exco will assist the member concerned to reach out to the relevant Government agencies to iron out the teething issues in EV importation.

The Live Streaming session ended smoothly with more exciting engagements promised in the pipeline to our members. SCCCI has also shared that its Live Streaming facility and services are available to SMCTA's members to showcase their products and services through their desired

streaming sales channel.
