In consideration of being permitted to participate in the SRE (the "Event") being held on 14 Oct 2023 at Downtown East, the Participant agrees as follows:
The Parent/Guardian agrees to indemnify and hold the Singapore Motor Cycle Trade Association, its officers, directors, employees, agents, partners and volunteers harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with the child's participation in the event.
The Parent/Guardian & Participant acknowledges that there is an inherent risk of injury associated with participating in the Event, and the Parent/Guardian & Participant hereby assumes full responsibility for any such risk.
The Parent/Guardian & Participant agrees to comply with all rules and regulations of the Event, and to follow the instructions of the Organizers and their representatives.
The Parent/Guardian & Participant agrees that this indemnity form is binding upon the Participant's heirs, successors, and assigns. In witness whereof, the Parent/Guardian & Participant has executed this indemnity form on the date first written above.
I declare to the best of my belief that my child is fit and I allow my child to participate in this SRE and that he/she is able to cycle and balance on a standard bicycle.
1.0 Event:
SMCTA’s Safe Riding Experience (SRE) for kids, supported by National Bikers Weekend.
2.0 Eligibility:
Children aged 10 to 16 years old.
Child is able to balance and ride on a bicycle.
3.0 Entries:
- Acceptance of entries is at the sole discretion of the organizers who have the right to reject entries.
- Entries will be accepted up to the maximum of allowable participants
- Entry fees are $10 per participant.
- This entry fee is non-refundable and non-cancellable, your payment must be made at the time of booking.
4.0 Participants personal safety equipment:
- Parents must take responsibility for the safety of their own children as well as their behaviour towards others.
- Participants must wear an approved crash helmet at all times when riding a motorcycle.
- Participants must wear appropriate protective clothing, covered shoes and gloves. Pants / jeans with elbow and knee pad (mandatory).
- Participants observed to be insufficiently clothed may be removed from the event immediately at the sole discretion of the instructors and event staff who have the right to remove participants.
6.0 Riding Standards:
Dangerous riding is absolutely prohibited. Participants observed to be riding dangerously removed from the
event immediately at the sole discretion of the instructors and event staff who have the right to remove participants.
7.0 Postponement or cancellation:
At the discretion of the organizer, the event or part may be cancelled or postponed in due course of
Inclement weather, or any other situations which may result in safety being compromised.
8.0 Others:
- This is a Safe Riding Experience.
- Participants are required to attend all parts of the experience including a safety briefing before the start.
